Agricultural appraisals are typically timber related due to the prominence of the timber industry in East Texas.  We have several firms which we associate with regularly to provide timber valuations.  These assignments include timber land for sale, trade and estate valuations, specialized timber operations such as sawmills and chip mills.  Other specialized agricultural properties include poultry farms, rice mills, grain elevators, cropland, in addition to land utilized for a wide variety of agricultural and homesite uses.

Environmentally sensitive properties are a major portion of the agricultural properties which are appraised by our office and include marsh properties along the Gulf Coast, habitat preservation properties for endangered species such as the golden cheeked warbler and whooping crane, and habitat properties for waterfowl.  We have been involved in the appraisal of several properties of National interest where the data search covered several states.  We are active in the area of Conservation Easements.  Conservation Easement appraisals have been performed for donation, acquisition, and eminent domain purposes.
